נולדה בישראל ב-1993.
בוגרת תואר ראשון בבי"ס למוזיקה ע"ש בוכמן-מהטה באוניברסיטת תל אביב, בכיתתה של הגב' אפרת בן-נון.
זכתה במלגות מטעם "קרן רונן", "קרן התרבות אמריקה ישראל" (2010-2020) ומלגת הבארוק מהקרן (2012-2014), מלגת "עידוד אמנים צעירים" מעיריית נתניה (2012-2019) ומלגת הצטיינות מביה"ס למוסיקה ע"ש בוכמן-מהטה (2014-2017).
הרפרטואר האופראי שלה כולל את קפיסה ב"אורפאוס" מאת טלמן (בניצוחו של ברנרד פורק), תפקיד האש ב"נער והקסמים" מאת רוול (בניצוחו של כריס קרנס), פיה ב"מלכת הפיות" מאת פרסל (בניצחו של דוד שמר), מלכת הלילה ב"חליל הקסם" מאת מוצרט (בניצוחו של קווין מרפי), סוזנה ב"נישואי פיגרו" מאת מוצרט, קליאופטרה ב"יוליוס קיסר במצרים" מאת הנדל, זושה בבכורת האופרה ״הקוסם״ מאת שלומי פריג' שעלתה לראשונה בוונציה ומוניקה ב"מדיום" מאת מנוטי.
השתתפה כסולנית באורטוריות כגון תהילים 42 וגלוריה מאת מנדלסון, רקוויאם מאת מוצארט, מגניפיקט וגלוריה מאת ויואלדי ועוד.
שני הופיעה עם תזמורות מובילות ברחבי הארץ, כולל תזמורת הסינפונייטה הישראלית באר שבע, התזמורת הקיבוצית נתניה, תזמורת הבארוק ירושלים, התזמורת הסימפונית של בית הספר למוזיקה ע"ש בוכמן-מהטה ועוד.
שני השתתפה בסדנת האופרה הבינלאומית IVAI בשנים 2017-19 , השתתפה כסולנית בפסטיבלים ידועים רבים כגון "פסטיבל הגיטרות הבינלאומי" בניהולו של המלחין דניאל עקיבא, פסטיבל "עיר פוגשת מוזיקה" בנתניה, פסטיבל "חג המוסיקה הישראלי", "פסטיבל אבו גוש" ו"פסטיבל המוסיקה בעכו".
כסולנית, שני שרה עם מקהלות ידועות רבות בישראל, באירופה, באסיה וארה"ב. מקהלת גארי ברטיני, מקהלת האיחוד, אנסמבל זמרי מורן, המקהלה הקאמרית של ביה"ס למוזיקה ע"ש בוכמן-מהטה ומקהלת ניצן.
שני לקחה חלק בכיתות אמן עם מוסיקאים בינלאומים כגון זמר הבס תומאס קווסטוף, מאסטרו דן אטינגר, מאסטרו קווין מרפי, זמרת הסופרן חן רייס, הפסנתרן הנודע גרהם ג'ונסון ועוד.
בחודשים האחרונים שני עובדת על פרוייקט עצמאי בתקופת הקורונה ויצאה למסע הופעות במופע ייחודי המשלב מוזיקה קלאסית, לדינו, ישראלית ומזרחית אמנותית. היא התחילה ללמוד מוזיקה תימנית עם הזמרת הבינלאומית גילה בשארי ומשלבת את המוזיקה הזו בתוכניתה יחד עם הסברים על המסורת והמורשת התימנית.
Soprano Shani Oshri was born in Israel in 1993.
Shani is currently finishing her B.A in music performance at Tel Aviv University’s Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, under Efrat Ben Nun.
Shani is a recipient of a full scholarship from the Israel America Cultural Foundation
(2010-2020) and a baroque scholarship from the foundation (2012-2014), a scholarship from “the Ronen Foundation” (2019-20), the "Young Artist Encouragement" scholarship from the Netanya Municipality (2012) and an excellence scholarship from the Buchman-Mehta School of Music (2014-2019).
Shani has performed with leading orchestras around the country, including the Israel Sinfonietta Beer Sheva, the Israel Netanya Kibbutz Orchestra, the Jerusalem baroque orchestra, the Buchmann-Mehta Symphony Orchestra and more.
Her roles include the Fire from "L'enfant et les sortilèges" by Ravel (conducted by Chris Crans), Cephisa in Telemann's "Orpheus" (conducted by Bernhard Forck), the Queen Of The Night from "Die Zauberflote" by Mozart (conducted by Kevin Murphy), Cleopatra in Handel's "Giulio Cesare in Egitto", Monica in Menotti's "The Medium", Zosha in “Il Mago” (modern Opera) by Farig, and Susanna in Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro.
Her oratorio repertoire includes Mendelssohn psalm 42, Mendelssohn Gloria, Mozart requiem, Vivaldis magnificat, and Vivaldis Gloria.
Shani has participated in the young artists program "IVAI" (2017-2018), and was a lead soloist in many well-known music festivals in Israel, such as "The International Guitar Festival – run by the composer Daniel Akiva, "City Meets Music" festival in Netanya, the "Israeli Music Celebration" festival , the Abu Gosh music festival, and the Akko Music Festival.
As a soloist, Shani has sung with many well-known choirs in Israel and in tours in Europe and Asia. These choirs include the Moran Ensemble, the Gary Bertini Choir, the Buchmann Mehta Chamber Choir, and the Nitzan Choir.
Shani has had masterclasses with internationally recognized performers, such as Maestro Thomas Quasthoff, Maestro Dan Ettinger, Maestro Kevin Murphy, Chen Reiss, Graham Johnsonn and many more.

תמיד ידעתי על "קרן רונן" ועל תמיכתה במוסיקאים צעירים בתחום המוזיקה הקלאסית.
כסטודנטית לפי כשנה וחצי שלחתי ליפה מייל עם הקלטה שלי ובקשה לפגישה, למזלי היא זכרה אותי מקונצרט בו שמעה אותי וקבענו להיפגש. התחברתי ליפה באופן מיוחד והיא הפכה לאוזן הקשבת שלי ונותנת לי לא רק עזרה כלכלית אלא גם עזרה אישית ומקצועית שזה חשוב לא פחות במקצוע ההפכפך שבחרתי. תמיד מרגש אותי לראות כמה איכפת לה מאנשי הקרן זה כל כך מיוחד בעיניי.
I always knew about the "Ronen Foundation" and its support for young musicians in the field of classical music. As a student I sent Yaffa an email with my recording and a request for a meeting, luckily she remembered me from a concert where she had heard me and we arranged to meet. I connected to Yaffa in a special way and she became my listening ear and gives me not only financial help but also personal and professional help which is no less important in this fickle profession I have chosen. It always excites me to see how much she cares about the people at the foundation.
