Daniela Skorka, soprano, was born in Israel.
Daniela began her vocal studies at the Karmiel Music Conservatory. She has served in the IDF as an Outstanding Musician, and completed her degree of B.Mus. at the Jerusalem Music Academy. There she has won the first place in the Lieder competition and the Mendelssohn competition. She was a member of “Meitar” Israeli Opera Studio
Daniela is the 3rd prize recpient at the Pietro Antonio Cesti - International Competition for Baroque Singing in Innsbruck.
She has won the first prize in the Aviv Competitions in Israel, there she received the Michal Oren Prize for Voice, as well as the Mira Zakai prize for the best performance of an Israeli vocal work in memory of her parents George and Eva Koigen.
Skorka is a recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation (2004-2013), the Bercovici scholarship (2017), Ronen Foundation (2014), Ima Foundation (2010), and the IVAI (2008-2013) scholarships.
Daniela has performed with many orchestras and ensembles in Israel and abroad, among them Les arts Florissants, Les Talens Lyriques, Orfeo Orchestra, Les folies Françoises, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, The Israel Camerata Jerusalem, Barrocade Ensemble, The Israel Chamber Orchestra, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and the Jerusalem Academy Chamber Choir. She has also worked with many conductors, such as Zubin Mehta, William Christie, Christophe Rousset, Dan Ettinger, György Vashegyi, Daniel Oren, Steven Mercurio, Avner Biron, Patrick Cohën-Akenine, Frederic Chaslin, Daniel Cohen, David Stern, John Nelson, Ariel Zuckerman, David Greilsammer and Stanley Sperber.
She has performed the solo parts in the Requiem and Mass in C Minor (Mozart), 4 Grands Motets (Mondonville), Gloria (Poulenc / Vivaldi), Magnificat (Bach / Vivaldi), Messiah, Saul, Solomon, Judas Macchbaeus, La Resurrezione and Dixit Dominus (Handel), Stabat Mater and Salve Regina (Pergolesi), Psalms 42 (Mendelssohn),
Bachianas Brasileiras no. 5 (Villa-Lobos) and other works.
Her operatic roles include Susanna and Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro, Despina in Cosi fan Tutte, Zerlina in Don Giovanni and Aminta in Il re pastore (Mozart), Angelica in Orlando (Handel), Eurydice in Orpheus (Telemann), Monica in The Medium (Menotti), Diane in Actéon (Charpentier), Phénice in Armide by Lully, Belinda in Dido and Aeneas (Purcell), Echo in Ariadne auf Naxos (R. Strauss), Rivka / Rachel / Bilha in Mothers (David Sebba), and more.
סופרן, החלה את לימודיה בקונסרבטוריון למוסיקה בכרמיאל. שירתה בצה"ל כמוסיקאית מצטיינת, וסיימה את לימודיה לתואר ראשון באקדמיה למוסיקה ולמחול בירושלים, שם זכתה במקומות הראשונים בתחרות הלידר ובתחרות מנדלסון. הייתה חברה במיתר אופרה סטודיו של האופרה הישראלית.
דניאלה היא זוכת מלגת קרן התרבות אמריקה-ישראל, קרן רונן, מלגת ברקוביץ', מלגת הצטיינות מקרן אמא, וכן זכתה במלגות המכון הישראלי לתרבות האופרה.
סקורקה זכתה במקום השלישי בתחרות הבינלאומית לשירת בארוק ע"ש פייטרו אנטוניו צ'סטי באינסברוק. בתחרויות האביב זכתה בפרס הראשון בזמרה ע"ש מיכל אורן ובפרס על ביצוע מצטיין ליצירה ישראלית, תרומת מירה זכאי לזכר הוריה אווה וגיאורג קויגן.
דניאלה הופיעה כסולנית עם תזמורות והרכבים רבים בארץ ובחו"ל, ביניהם התזמורות הצרפתיות:

תמיד ידעתי על "קרן רונן" ועל תמיכתה במוסיקאים צעירים בתחום המוזיקה הקלאסית.
כסטודנטית לפי כשנה וחצי שלחתי ליפה מייל עם הקלטה שלי ובקשה לפגישה, למזלי היא זכרה אותי מקונצרט בו שמעה אותי וקבענו להיפגש. התחברתי ליפה באופן מיוחד והיא הפכה לאוזן הקשבת שלי ונותנת לי לא רק עזרה כלכלית אלא גם עזרה אישית ומקצועית שזה חשוב לא פחות במקצוע ההפכפך שבחרתי. תמיד מרגש אותי לראות כמה איכפת לה מאנשי הקרן זה כל כך מיוחד בעיניי.
I always knew about the "Ronen Foundation" and its support for young musicians in the field of classical music. As a student I sent Yaffa an email with my recording and a request for a meeting, luckily she remembered me from a concert where she had heard me and we arranged to meet. I connected to Yaffa in a special way and she became my listening ear and gives me not only financial help but also personal and professional help which is no less important in this fickle profession I have chosen. It always excites me to see how much she cares about the people at the foundation.
