Liah Barlev | ליה ברלב
Pianist
born on January 2005 in Israel. Lives in Beit Itzhak she
started playing the piano at age 6 with local teacher and at age 9 continued
her studies with Mrs. Ada Weinstock at the Israel Conservatory of Music in Tel
Aviv. Among her studies in the conservatory, Liah is part of the program for
"young and excellent pianists" held by the Jerusalem Music .
Participated in many masterclasses with Murray Perahia, prof. Arik Vardi ,
, Prof. Asaf Zohar, Prof. Sonia Rubinsky, Roman Rabinovitch, Prof. Ilana
Vered, Prof. Pascal Nomrovsky, Prof. Andrea Meyer, and Prof. Janina
Fialkowska.
Liah is an 10 th grade student at Thelma Yalin National High School of Arts in
the Classical Music Department.
Liah is an AICF Grant recipient with Exceptional Distinction since 2018
She is a 2019 1st Prize winner, age category 12-15, at the national piano
competition "Piano Forever" in Ashdod Israel.
She is a 2017 2nd Prize winner, age category 12-15, at the national piano
competition "Piano Forever" in Ashdod Israel. And an encouragement prize
winner 2016 age category 6 -11 at the national piano competition "Piano
Forever" in Ashdod Israel.
June 2019 Semi Finalist - EMCY - A Step Towards Mastery - the 12-
international competition of young pianists, Saint - Petersburg.
Liah has performed as first pianist in Saint-Saëns Carnival of Animals with an
Ensemble of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra - at Zuker hall Hichal Hatarbut
Tel-Aviv.
January 2020 - performance at Eden Tamir Music Center Jerusalem – live
broadcast at the Kol Hamuzika Radio station – Concert of the Winners of
Piano Forever national competition of 2019.
Liah also played with the Israel Sinfonietta Beer Sheva under conductor Chen
Zimbalista. The Haifa symphony orchestra under conductor Talia Ilan, gave
several piano recitals at the "piano memorial corner of Zachariah Hrifaie" at
the Israeli Cameri Theater Tel - Aviv and performed at Israel Russian center
Tel - Aviv in a tribute to Tchaikovsky.
